You truly are a friend. Can you post the city and state she is in? Does she have proof of the Father's Military Service? Could she obtain a copy of his DD214 (they are his official discharge papers)? If she can show DD214, she may be able to get some help from: http://www.nvsf.org. Can you tell me the Branch of Service and State of residence for the Father? Have you referred her to a local domestic abuse hot line? Each area has what is referred to as safe houses and some areas provide for temporary transitional housing. Was she in Military? Have you referred her to http://www.modestneeds.org/exp lore/
